Alisa Erlikh, a.k.a MONALISA, is a USSR-born fashion model, music producer and femcee based in Toronto, Ontario.
As a student of a classical musical education, playing the oboe and piano for over 10 years, as well as a degree in psychology from the University of Toronto, Mona uses her knowledge of music theory and harmony as well as psychoanalytical skills to carefully craft each of her musical tracks into a psychoacoustic journey.
Producing in a variety of musical genres, most notably hip-hop and electronic music, Mona aspires to compose film scores with the likes of Hans Zimmer, James Horner, and Danny Elfman, working at the top post-production studios in the world.
Having collaborated with multiple Toronto-based recording artists such as Zenith Prime, THP and C.A.M.O, she had been inspired by their ability to put poems to music, and began to explore the art of cypher herself. This resulted in the demo track "Day Job" featuring Zenith Prime and C.A.M.O, produced by the latter, released in late February of 2014.
Currently at TreBas Institute, Mona is honing her skills as an audio engineer, producing various musical compositions and collaborating on promising projects set to be released in late 2014 with like-minded peers.
